Lower Tay,Rome Croy and Muirtons August 2018

Although the salmon fishing, on the River Tay has so far, failed to take off, mainly due to the low water levels, in the river, and the high water temperature, when the rain does eventually come, the best of the salmon fishing should be in the lower region of the river, (assuming there are any fish to come in from the estuary). Rome Croy and Muirtons should provide the best sport around tide times, but also worth a try is Willowgate/Stanners Island, Moncrieffe Island, where fish tend to collect in low water conditions. Perth Town Water also worth a shot.
