Terrific Salmon Seminar 15th April 2018

Written by Ted Eadie on .

Today I attended the PDAA salmon seminar, in Perth Museum Lecture Theatre, along with 30 other interested anglers, to hear Dr.Matt Newton,

The Atlantic Salmon Trust discuss,'The Decline of the Atlantic Salmon, Mr.Andrew Graham-Stewart,Salmon and Trout Conservation Scotland, discuss,'The effects of Salmon Farming', and Prof.Colin Bean, Scottish Natural Heritage, discuss ,'Pacific Pink Salmon in Scottish Rivers'.  The three speakers were top notch, and knew their subjects inside out, all provided very good and instructive lectures, with a few surprises, and answered many questions afterwards. Hopefully this is the start of an education programme, to better prepare anglers of ongoing events affecting their sport. To the many anglers who did not attend, and wonder if they missed out , be assured you did. A most enjoyable day, good food and a very good venue.............Ted
