The aim of Perth and District Anglers' Association is the enjoyment, protection and improvement of any fishings available to the association. See the club constitution, club rules, and code of conduct for more information.
The club is keen to promote humane practices in the pastime of angling and supports the River Board's catch and release recommendations as a minimum requirement.
Perth & District Anglers' Association offers
access to a variety of fishing.
As the Association owns Newton of Logierait beat it is able to offer fishing here 3 days per week. For the 2008 season the fishing is available on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays on both of the banks.
The Association also has numerous leases for salmon fishing on the River Tay.
Spring fishing includes rods on - Kercock, Islamouth,
Murthly 1, Stobhall & Waulkmill.
Early summer fishing includes rods on -
Burnmouth & Catholes.
Summer fishing includes rods on - Lower Scone
& Upper Redgorton.
All season fishing with rods on the Delvine beat.
All season fishing with rods on the Stormont Angling Club waters.
River Earn - the Hilton Farm beat is available during the whole season.
The Association has leases for trout and grayling fishing on 13 stretches of the River Tay, further details on request.
The Association has leases for 3 trout lochs, which are stocked regularly during the trout season. For the 2008 season, the Association is leasing 1 boat on both the Friday day & the Friday evening sessions at Butterstone Loch.
The Association offers two types of membership.
Application for membership should be endorsed by a proposal from a full
member as indicated on the application form. If this is not possible the
application should include the details of a referee, e.g. an official from
another angling association or a ghillie.
